With Pujya Gurudevshri’s unconditional love, progressive outlook and compassionate guidance, yoga and sports have for long been an integral part of the Ashram’s activities. Indeed after witnessing the enthusiastic participation of youngsters in the football finals of Shrimad Rajchandra Youthwing Sports in February, it was the Sadguru’s benevolent thought of having a Football Tournament that served as the starting point for the Dharampur Premier League.

The youth got together to form Sahebji’s Football Club, for both boys and girls. It was inaugurated on 17th March by Pujya Gurudevshri. Atmarpit Nemiji and Atmarpit Apurvaji were made the Captain and Vice-Captain respectively of Sahebji’s Football Club. A total of 16 teams in boys and 12 teams in girls, comprising of over 180 boys and over 160 girls were pitted against each other in the Dharampur Premier League. The games were held around Satsang Shibirs enabling the youth to imbibe spiritual wisdom as well as participate in the joyous adventure. The Large Event Area in the Ashram was specially earmarked for the games. Though divided by teams, members were united in their love and devotion for the Master. A spirit of teamwork was perceptible and players bonded with each other.

The grand finale of the football tournament was organised on June 2nd in the august presence of Pujya Gurudevshri. Adorned with surprises, awards and soulful sharing of experiences, the evening was filled with excitement and fervour. In an exhilarating ambience comprising of chants, thunderous beats of the drums and loud cheers, the winning teams Soulful Strikers led by Jivanarpit Tigmanshu Tolia and Compassionate Commandos led by Neha Gala were blessed to receive a magnificent cup and medals from the pious hands of Pujya Gurudevshri.
