Sanctifying Hearts in Shimla
January 30 - February 1

A gush of enthusiasm ran high amongst the youth when they arrived in Shimla, the captivatingly beautiful capital of Himachal Pradesh. Adorned in cloud and snow, the hill city’s natural bounties seemed to have come together to fervently welcome the Sadguru.

Through three life transforming Sadguru Udghosh, Pujya Gurudevshri showed the young seekers four keys to be the change that they want to see in the world and ‘INSPIRED’ them to decide on their ultimate goal and work out an action plan to progressively achieve it. Atmarpit Rajuji’s session 'Say Waah to Seva' stirred youngsters to deepen their devotion for the Master through selfless service. Overflowing with peace and joy, the youth engaged in a wonderful ‘Blessings’ meditation where they offered blessings of love to each other to imbibe the desired virtues. Atmarpit Nemiji’s experience sharing touched a chord with every young heart. It was during the Youth Shibir at Shimla in 2007 when he was the Hridayarpit Group Leader that he had expressed his wish to become an Atmarpit to Pujya Gurudevshri.

Hundreds of youngsters gathered at the Mall Road, the main street of Shimla city. Commemorating Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary on January 30, the youth encircled the pivot of their lives Pujya Gurudevshri at the Gandhi Chowk to sing the National Anthem and Gandhiji’s much-loved bhajan ‘Vaishnav Jana To’.

The youth also relished their visit to Kufri, a small hill station located 20 km from Shimla. Playing in the snow, dancing to spirited tunes and spending affectionate moments with the Master listening to songs made the young devotees emotional.

Each day in Shimla was embellished with lovely dedications by youngsters – skits, dances and performances that not only affirmed their love for the Master but also chronicled their inner transformation. Various youth groups conceived and enacted enchanting skits highlighting Pujya Gurudevshri’s teachings. To name a few, ‘Gopi Geet’ and ‘Sakshaat Akshardhaam’ touched the hearts with the sweet message of devotion unto the Lord. ‘Chess - Mirror of an Inner Journey’ narrated the victory of the Master’s guidance over delusion. A moving skit ‘Apno Ambalal’ by sevaks of the Audio-Video Department recounted Pujyashri Ambalalbhai’s profound virtues in seva. On a card saying “Will you be His Ambalal” there was an imprint of Pujya Gurudevshri’s thumb next to which the youth put their thumb print in the shape of a heart, thereby committing their life to being sevaks like Pujyashri Ambalalbhai. The youngsters whose names got picked through chits got the invaluable opportunity to be in Pujya Gurudevshri’s personal seva during the Shibir.

Pujya Gurudevshri bestowed the Youth Icon Award on Atmarpit Seemaji for her loving seva in Pujya Gurudevshri's Kitchen. The Best Performer Award was conferred upon Jivanarpit Sanjana Shah for her outstanding seva in the Audio-Video Department. In a surprise that will remain etched in the memories of those present forever the Sadguru announced that she would be blessed to embrace the life of an Atmarpit. Blessed to have been brought up under Pujya Gurudevshri’s direct love and training, Yuvarpit Sachi Jhaveri and Yuvarpit Rhea Shah shared their life experiences which brought to the fore His boundless compassion.

Cherishing Grace in Chandigarh
February 2

The passionate youngsters arrived with their inner architect Pujya Gurudevshri to one of India’s best planned cities Chandigarh for the last leg of the remarkable Youth Shibir. The group arrived at the city’s acclaimed Rock Garden, a magnificent arrangement of rocks, boulders, broken chinaware and other pieces of industrial and urban waste fashioned into striking sculptures of palaces, soldiers, village life, temples and more. With exuberant dances youth expressed their adoration for the Master. Youngsters were blessed to soar with their beloved Sadguru on large sized swings. The assemblage soon proceeded to the famous Sukhna Lake for boating with the rower of their lives, Pujya Gurudevshri.

After revitalising hundreds of lives in the Youth Shibir, the Sadguru proceeded to Amritsar. Pujya Gurudevshri sat in silence inside the Golden Temple and also offered seva at the ‘langar’ a free community dining room that serves food to thousands visiting the temple each day. While in Amritsar, the Master visited the Jallianwala Bagh, site of the brutal massacre of people by the British in 1919. Pujya Gurudevshri also made a visit to the Gobindgarh Fort, earlier occupied by the army but is now being developed as a unique live museum, as a repository of Punjab’s history.

Bowing to the Sadguru’s resolve to travel to Shimla overlooking His health conditions, the youth could not thank Him enough for His selfless love and vowed to live the lessons learnt during the Shibir.
