Shibir 5: Vivekchudamani

(Panchkosh Vivran – Part 2)

Numerous Seekers Gather for Shibir
Seekers eagerly gathered at the peaceful hill of Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur on the evening of Friday, 19th May 2017 for the fifth shibir of the pious text ‘Vivekchudamani’ written by the great Indian philosopher poet Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

Aspirants listened with great zeal and enthusiasm to four lucid pravachans by the Master, on the second part of the Panchkosh Vivran or the five sheaths that cover the soul. Through these pravachans, Pujya Gurudevshri expounded on how the intellect and sensual happiness, that appear to be characteristics of the soul, are in fact only mere reflections of the pure soul and hence, in reality don’t exist. Through vivid examples, simple yet profound explanations and light hearted humour; Pujya Gurudevshri helped solidify the intrinsic concepts in all.

On Sunday morning, prior to the final pravachan, seekers meditated on a soothing and absorbing recitation of the sacred mantra ‘Sahajatmaswaroop Paramguru’ that helped each one to get one step closer on the path of experiencing the true Self.

Seekers, inspired by the Master, gained great philosophical material to churn within and utilise to move ahead on the path to realise the true Self.
